Petrology - swage lining
Holleran has completed two pipeline insertion projects at Leith Docks, Edinburgh under the BP Claw Development for pipe fabrication specialists Petrology. The initial contract was for the swage lining of PE into two kilometres of 10" and 12" steel pipelines, which was successfully completed in 500m sections. The more recent contract involved the insertion of 300 PE into eight kilometres of 12" steel pipeline; this was also completed in 500M sections at a rate of one section per day. The Holleran Group can provide all these services in-house offering customers cost effective and innovative solutions on each new project that the company undertakes.
Transco - mains renewals
Transco contracted Holleran, working with Morrison Plc, to deliver gas main and service renewals in Kent. The contract, which required up to twelve teams, involved a number of activities associated with gas mains replacement; main laying using butt-fusion, pressure testing, services installations from the mains to properties and liaison with Transco with regards to mains connections, pipeline commissioning and connection to domestic properties.
