Pipeline Renovation
In Situ Spray Lining
Spray lining is appropriate where pipes are structurally sound but there are problems with water quality, flow or pressure due to a build up of deposits within the pipes. The pipes are cleaned they are lined with an approved epoxy resin, or rapid setting polymeric system, which improves water quality and flow and prevents future build-ups.
Holleran now offer rapid setting high build spray lining, Copon Hycote 169HB, a semi-structural lining. It is applied using well established insitu spray lining techniques at thicknesses of 3-5mm - at lining rates of over one metre per minute and at setting times of less than one minute. It creates a tight fit within the pipeline to eliminate any annular space and has minimal shrinkage characteristics in the longer term. Finally lateral connections and ferrules are coated but not covered and therefore do not require expensive secondary attention.
169HB provides a tough, ductile lining - a pipe within a pipe - that will cover small holes and will provide a seal to transverse and longitudinal cracking, giving 50 year plus additional life to the pipe. The process is suitable for lining all pipeline materials.
